The UK Feed-in-Tariff is a great opportunity for home owners and businesses to make a fixed expense into an income. The legislature states a fixed payment for every unit generated, which rises with RPI, will be paid by a mandatory FITs electricity supplier and secured for a twenty year period. There is also a further payment of 3p/kWh for every unit of electricity which is sold back to the national grid.

Anaerobic digestion (AD) is a controlled naturally occurring process which converts biodegradable waste into biogas. Recycling nearby waste products into reusable materials, the digestion process does not only consume waste, which would otherwise need to be disposed of, it also provides useful and saleable by-products. With many applications, biogas can be used elsewhere to produce electricity or heat for buildings, or a more practical use for an individual site, such as:
