Renewable Electricity Source

When choosing a renewable energy solution, it's best to use your sites strengths. Wind Turbines can be fitted to buildings and rooftops to take advantage of higher wind speeds.

To ensure that light is supplied consistently and effectively, our street lights come with three different choices of power source. Our models powered by solar or wind energy respectively produce more energy, while our hybrid models, powered by a combination of solar and wind energy, are a more stable source of light.

The criteria below can help you decide which model is best for your energy needs.

On-grid or off-grid?

We advise that anyone with access to a national grid be connected to ensure a guaranteed electricity supply. If you don’t have access to a national grid, a hybrid street lighting system would supply reliable electricity from two different power sources to avoid blackouts.

Using surplus electricity?

Feed-in tariffs are monitored by the energy produced by renewable energy systems, not the energy supplied to the national grid. It's always an advantage to generate extra electricity beyond your needs and use the spare energy elsewhere. For off-grid systems, for example, spare energy could be used to power a home or business. Hybrid lighting systems can easily generate enough power to fulfill extra energy needs.

Our Models

Solar Street Lights

Photovoltaic solar panels have been widely implemented by developing countries. For instance, China used solar panels to help power the Olympics, and currently supplies 40 million homes with electricity from solar power.

Hybrid Street Lights

The most reliable power we offer comes from a combination of solar and wind power. If one source fails, the other can continue working to produce energy. Using these combined sources can easily surpass your energy needs.

Wind Street Lights

Wind is a cost-effective source of renewable energy. When paired with back-up storage and a fall-back electricity source supplying constant light and producing electricity, our systems can offer a significant return on investment.

Retro-fitting

Many areas that are reliant on street lights already have them in place. Our products can be retro-fitted to any existing structure to supply power while being secure from theft or damage. Reducing our carbon footprint on the world isn't just about using new renewable energy sources - it's about making the most of existing resources to minimise the need for manufacturing.
