Variable Wing Blades

The variable-wing blades on our maglev turbines are designed to enhance the performance from potential wind energy. They have a greater surface area for energy capture, and due to the nature of vertical turbines, they are always facing the wind.

Until recently, this fact was a problem – a turbine that is always facing the wind would also have blades going against the wind.

Continuous developments through trials and testing have designed an improved blade system, which, as it's running, uses ailerons to close to the wind and reduce the air resistance. When blades are caught by the wind, the ailerons open allowing the turbine to effectively catch more potential wind power. This mechanism counter-acts opposing wind resistance, making our product a very efficient turbine.

The Maglev Vertical Turbine is an efficient tool for taking power from the wind. A highly efficient blade design system, coupled with a frictionless bearing is comparatively easier to maintain than turbines powered with gearboxes, with pitch and yaw mechanisms.
